For sale on behalf of Glenn Cuthbertson's widow. The much delayed single cylinder version of the Ian Hamilton BOTT racer.
This machine was being developed since Glenn wanted a Comet powered road version of the BOTT/ BEARS race machine, .
Ian and Glenn , as well as May were close friends as long as I can remember from their university days in Glasgow
This machine has been in development over many years but stalled when Glenn died several years ago, Final finishing was being done by Bob Dunn , he was keen to complete it after attending Glenns funeral but his own health also stopped him completing the work but it does have a "new" 636cc engine built by Bob.
We are fortunate that as a close group of friends Martin Quirk has now completed the bike for May who wishes to put it on the market with an asking price of £15000 , much less than the costs involved in the build.
The chassis ( of which Glenn had 3 made) was made by Spondon to Glenns design and designed to accept all of the running gear from a single donor bike including forks ,wheels and swing arm. There is a great deal of information available for any interested parties and the running machine is currently at Martins workshop near Skipton .
I will post a few images and welcome any enquiries.
