I acquired the Comet in 2007 as a dissembled project.
The engine has benefitted from a complete specialist rebuild, along with reconditioning of all additional mechanical and electrical components. For example, Maughans were responsible for the crankshaft/big end - and the crank assembly was balanced. Steel idler fitted. Lucas K1F magneto refurbished and Lucas dynamo refurbished to provide 12v electrics; LED lights front and rear.
Rebuilt wheels with new rims and stainless spokes. Seat properly restored. The original Vincent damper arrangement (front and rear) has been replaced with modern AVO units. A Dave Hills centre stand has been added plus folding footrests and crash bar.
A really nice, clean bike which is easy to start and runs very well.
